At the Mythic Markets
"Welcome! Welcome! Stranger! You've found yourself at Lady Thornaby's! A humble buyer and seller of the Mythic Markets!."
There’s something fishy going on at the mythic markets. You are a member of the witches' council, and you’ve heard rumours of a dark creature that’s up for sale at ‘the market’. The cheerful salesman, Cassian, approaches you and seems to know more than he’s letting on. The question is…do you think people deserve a second chance, no matter where they’re from?
It is recommended to not play this game at the browser if at all possible, some visual effects will cause lag/poor performance.

- Fully voice-acted. Cassian is performed by Liam Bottazzi and the Narrator is performed by Sophie Nyx.

Cassian and his
terriblehilarious jokes were an absolute delight, and I rather loved seeing this bit of history behind how the Crooked Man came to be who he is now.I also loved that the "choice" we got really wasn't a choice at all (and they way that we got a chance to do the right thing was so cool!)
As always, you get lovely VAs for your characters. And your art is so pretty ;-; The backgrounds, CGs and the sprites were wonderful to look at.
You did an excellent job with At The Mythic Markets, and I am eagerly awaiting more of the Folklore Series.

spoilers? (also my rambling got long :< also sorry for bad grammar)
This version of young crooked is so adorable and is extremely different then when we see him in Goodbye Robert where he seemed more self-assured and sly (maybe because he is in a different environment?) there has also been distinctions between John and "The Chaos Prince" made in Goodbye Robert, so maybe this is where they diverge paths???
We also see john very verrryyy disinterested in "saving" the mythic court . We see this in Goodbye Robert as well where he uses the fact that he is practically royalty and is the true heir to the mythic throne to manipulate Robert in one of the routes even though, by the way it looked, John most likely never had plans on taking the throne anyway. like the man just wants to run his little candy shop leave him be. i wonder how funny that conversation must have been though 😭 im glad that he didn't go all chosen hero (but maybe he'll have to now 😔)
Speaking of candy i love the call back from the first it fit so good. i also wonder if the MC of this game will become an actual character (we didnt even get their name 🥲) i kinda want to see the rest of their journey (mustve been super stressful knowing Cassian got three daggers with their name on it) 😭.
Also ALICE DOGOODE MENTIONED another adoption has taken place lol. I wonder if she and the crooked apprentice will have a canon interaction. It would be nice to see someone in their corner (poor apprentice, everyone has been so mean to them lately)
i also just figured out the twist for the bad ending bc I forgot how to spell her name 😭 which was actually really creative and enjoyable, I was wondering what the powder was going to do. How nice of Cassian to give us a second chance :).
ALSO john and the draconic mage are related?!?! like father and son?! 😭 me personally I'm super skeptical of that since the draconic mage (did he have a name i forgot) only acknowledged him as an apprentice and in shishidoshi it seems like John's parents sold their bloodline to pandemonium (whatever that means) so i guess it had something to do with that.

Your John/Chaos Prince intuition is very good, hold onto that ;) (Also Draconic mage...continue to raise your eyebrow on that score too. He's called Dracane, he will soon be voiced in 'Only when you sleep'...but you're going to get to friendship sim him next yearrrr)
If someone was like 'John, you're the chosen one' - he'd be like 'oh no...it's another John, not me...'
I'm so glad someone liked the callback to 'Do you like sweets?' too! Alice is returning! Don't worry, she will be back in the story... in the cozy corner, she's got the kettle on and she's ready to pour that cuppa, give you a slice of cake and tell you that she's proud of you.
(Also, if you squint, you might start to see how some of John's more positive influencers have contributed to his personality in the present day...Cassian and Alice have influenced John quite heavily though he wouldn't darent admit it...)
Also, I'm glad you like Cassian...what a comedian, love that man and his 200 year old jokes...you'll see him next year too!
