You are Suaravi, the woman of the right hand of Pandemonium many, many, years ago.
Unlike some souls, Suaravi has not succumbed to the dark influence of Neverplace, she has embraced her power for the good of the souls who end up there. Now, she must find the child...the one who is destined to become the right eye of Pandemonium.
This is her story.
This game is a 500-word interactive fiction made for Neo-Twiny Jam 2026 and Mixed Media Jam - it's also a very small part of the ‘Folklore’ series...if you like what you see, it'll make more sense if you check out other parts of the story.

Hello! I haven't commented here before, but I felt like it's time I did to show my enthusiasm for the next installments as well as my appreciation for the folklore series. (I've played this game days ago but was too hesitant to comment as I also did hesitate for the past few installments in the past months!). I must say I'm glad I stumbled upon this series on a very random scrolling of visual novels because of boredom, then I saw "Do you like sweets?" where it all started, and ever since then you could say my interest was piqued, and still is! This series is a hidden gem honestly in a sea of games here hehe.
You have no idea how many times I've waited for the next game to publish, and when it did, I'd get so happy that I immediately play or I'd wait until I have enough free time to play it. This made me appreciate the world around the Crooken Man and the apprentice, and the stories it comes from either past or present. (I wish to see more of the Crooked Man after what happened the last game huhu, hope all ends well! As well as Hakon and Suraj having their happy ending.)

This game made me see the eyes of a very kind and good person which is Suaravi. Despite being in the Neverplace and becoming the right hand, she never let that affected her. And I admire her for that for not succumbing to the darkness that place brings. Suaravi's voice actress did a good job too! Her voice is soothing to me hehe.
We also get to see a little snippet of a backstory of how Rei came to be as the right eye of Pandemonium, I admit I was a bit annoyed at Rei when I saw him at Shishiodoshi but now seeing his story, his father sacrificing him to the Pandemonium it tugs my heart. (I can never understand how a parent can do terrible things to their child?!)
I don't know if this has been covered before or probably forgot but, I was curious on how the past parts of the Pandemonium switch to the new people who'd acquire that role (I'm sorry if my answer doesn't make sense huhu, it's night time so please forgive me!)
Anyway, I've been rambling long enough, so sorry for my long comment. I just wanna say kudos to you for another wonderful game despite how short it is! I'm so interested to know the world beyond this series, and the characters we've met along the way made me feel attached and feel for them. (Oop, me and my fragile heart HAHA ;-;)
Overall, I just love this series in general and seeing how it started from meeting the grumpy Crooked Man and the apprentice to seeing the truth and story behind every character as well as how each event and characters affected the present now.

Your question re: how do the parts change is a good one...and aside from 'the right hand' being passed on via the Laxmi line (Persuers of mythic truth touched on it just a little) - it hasn't been addressed, but there are a number of games coming up that will provide a lot more lore in this space. 🫶
I'm really grateful to hear how you enjoyed the stories of many characters. I understand that many love John and his relationship with his apprentice, but I was so warmed by your views on characters like Rei and Suraj and Hakon 🥹.
Comments like this really encourage and motivate me, and there's plenty more exciting stuff coming up, some very Suraj centric content and our dear Cru-chan will be getting a game focused on his experiences soon.
