You've arrived in Japan with the help of Peter Smith, the Silver Prince of the mythic people, and meet with Megumi, the enigmatic mythic familiar of the Bamboo Witch.
Now the trial of the 'Bamboo Path' awaits you, can you reach your destination without deviation...or will you be tempted to stray away? Fortune favours the bold, but keep your wits about you...Or you may lose more than you bargained for.
Play as The Crooked Man's apprentice as you unravel the mysteries surrounding your mentor and encounter a world of Japanese culture, magic and mythics.

(Please excuse my short comment this time around. I seem to have come down with something and am experiencing a bit of brain fog while posting this. I know I mentioned a little bit in DMs already some of what I enjoyed and I'll mention a bit here too, but I'll definitely give you my full thoughts when my brain is working properly!)

The slightly tense and unsettling atmosphere left me on edge with every choice we had to make, and I kept wondering just where the story would take us. (Of course, even with getting to the end, I still feel a little nervous for what future installments might bring.)
I look forward to learning more about the new characters we've been introduced to... (particularly Zhen and Jonathan Lane. Those two definitely left an impression on me) and I am excited to see where the story goes!

Yet another fun and, this time VERY atmospheric installment to the series. The series continues to maintain the magical feel of it, and does not become any less interesting. A careful game is played between introducing new characters and then explaining them in a later installment, and while I would say it is leaning very close on the verge of too many, it has not crossed that line just yet and maintains comprehension, if with a bit of confusion, though to be honest being a little overwhelmed with information and confused is immersive for the apprentice we play no? Well either way it was good to expand our understanding of the twist of the Crooked man being the Chaos prince in a way. And the two new characters introduced seem fairly fun to write haha! Looking forward to the "Beggining of the End", as ominous as it sounds..

I do agree with you that there are lots of characters to track, which I hope adds to the apprentice's whirlwind experience of confusion, but you'll be pleased to know that pretty much everyone is on stage for the final act 👌

Lol LOVED the game. Especially the part where we get to see the future and the apprentice and Crooked Man live happily ever after together (I'm delusional T_T)

I just finished the game and I just LOVE it. Your series is one of my favorite :)
The extend of the world is fantastic. i guess MC will deal with corporate bs in next game haha (perhaps it can be even funny to see how Crooked Man and MC are trying to survive nine circles of bureaucracy a.k.a. the mythic that even The Neverplace is scared of)
I have a lil question, is it even possible to have any third item? except the mask and sweets
and is Megumi always dislike us or we can change it in game? I tried different paths but she still dislikes me lol

John and the apprentice are going to have a time™️ dealing with magical red tape (I think you're right, John probably does hate that as much as the Neverplace).
As for The Bamboo Witch, there is no 3rd item, and yes, she will dislike you, but there are reasons that you'll discover in the 3rd game. She's the kind of person who would always leave you item too short for everything that's on offer 🤭 but not to worry, I can't imagine her trying to get anything out of John will go too well.
